David has recently retired as Principal of the Northbrook College in Sussex. He has held the post of further education college principal at a range of educational establishments since 1990 including a spell with Plymouth College of Further Education from 2000 - 2005.
David is interested in all aspects of police work, but particularly in achieving the right balance between 'light touch' and intervention, and in public perceptions of policing.
David grew up in outer London and has worked in a number of regions in England. He and his family settled in the West Country in 2000.
His interests include family, reading, music and gardening.
