Your Police, your Police Authority, your Local Policing Summary.
Every year Police Authorities across the country are required by law to produce a summary about policing in their area over the last twelve months. In Devon and Cornwall this summary is produced by Devon and Cornwall Police Authority and the Constabulary jointly, making the messages relevant to your locality.
Distribution to every household in Devon, Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly is currently underway. If you would like to see a copy prior to receiving yours they are available on the Devon and Cornwall Police Authority website, under “Our Plans, Performance and Reports”.
Devon and Cornwall Police Authority plays an important role to ensure that the Constabulary provides the best possible policing service that meets the needs of the communities. One of the key objectives for the Police Authority is to consult widely with local people about the policing of their area. The Local Policing Summaries provide an overview of the progress made against targets and what communities have said they want to see.
The Police Authority would welcome feedback on the Local Policing Summaries. Please email polauth@devonandcornwall.pnn.police.uk with your thoughts on the content and/or feedback, or contact us via one of the other methods listed on the back of the booklet.
