Devon and Cornwall Police Authority appoints a new Chief Executive
Following interviews carried out by Devon and Cornwall Police Authority last month, the Authority is pleased to announce that Susan Howl has been appointed as its new Chief Executive.
Susan joins the Authority from Warwickshire Police Authority where she held the post of Chief Executive. She is due to begin the role for Devon and Cornwall Police Authority in the New Year
Devon and Cornwall Police Authority Chairman Mike Bull said: “We welcome Susan’s appointment as the Authority’s new Chief Executive. I am delighted.
“She joins us at a time when there is increasing focus on the role of the Police Authority in Devon and Cornwall and the important part we play in ensuring our region remains safe, secure and confident in their local policing.
“I’m sure that Sue will be a key figure in ensuring we continue to work closely with the Chief Constable and the Constabulary and communities across Devon and Cornwall.”
New Chief Executive Susan said: “I am delighted to be given the opportunity to take on the role of Chief Executive with the Police Authority.
“I have no doubt the job will bring challenges, but I’m hopeful my experience in working with the Home Office and the Warwickshire Police Authority will stand me in good stead in the role.
“From what I have already seen of the organisation, there is a clear commitment to working with the Chief Constable and his Constabulary to give the best possible policing service to the people of Devon and Cornwall.”
