A meeting of the Devon and Cornwall Police Authority will be held on Friday 29 June 2007 at 10.00am  in the Training College conference room, Police Headquarters, Middlemoor, Exeter  to which you are requested to attend, to consider the items as detailed on the Agenda given below.

Any papers listed as “to follow”, urgent items or supplementary papers will be made available as soon as possible and in any event at least 30 minutes before the start of the meeting.

    To receive apologies for absence from Members unable to attend the meeting
  2. Declarations of Interest
    To receive any declarations from Members / Officers of personal and / or prejudicial interests in respect of matters for consideration at this meeting, together with the appropriate statement on the nature of any such declared interests.

  9. Health & Safety  Inspection
    An update providing Members with details of a recent inspection by the Health & Safety Executive and the actions to be taken by the Force to address issues raised.  Oral Report.

    An update on the work undertaken by the Lead Member for the Extended Police Family, Bryan Preston. Oral Report.
  11. Police Dog Welfare Scheme Annual Report 2006-07
    This report summarises the output from the Devon and Cornwall Police Authority Police Dog Welfare Scheme for the period 1 April 2006 to 31 March 2007.
  12. Association of Police Authority meetings
    Provides a summary of meetings held by the Association of Police Authority to which Devon & Cornwall Police Authority Members are invited.  
  13. Police Authority Liaison Meetings
    Provides a summary of Police Authority Liaison Meetings held since the last meeting of the Authority.
  14. Dates of future Police Authority Meetings
    Recommends that the dates for meetings in 2008 and the first meeting in 2009 be as shown in the report.

    The Immigration Service is seeking to establish a network of Investigation Units across the country. This report seeks approval for the establishment of an Immigration Investigation Unit in Devon & Cornwall.
