A meeting of the Devon and Cornwall Police Authority will be held on Friday 23rd April 2010, at 10:00hrs in the Amenity suite, Police Headquarters, Middlemoor, Exeter to which you are requested to attend, to consider the items as detailed on the Agenda given below.
This meeting will be broadcast live on the Internet and recorded for future viewing.
Any papers listed as “to follow”, urgent items or supplementary papers will be made available as soon as possible and in any event at least 30 minutes before the start of the meeting.

This report provides a general update on policing issues since the last meeting of the Police Authority and includes: - Regional Collaboration
Report updating Members on the progress of Regional Collaboration. - HMIC Value for Money Profiles
Report setting out a proposed approach which enables the Police Authority to develop a strategy for improving value for money. - Single Equality Scheme
This report introduces the Draft Single Equality Scheme (2010-2013) which sets out Devon and Cornwall Police Authority’s commitment to equality and diversity. The report recommends that the Police Authority adopt this draft and approve the scheme to be published for 12 weeks public consultation. - Devon and Cornwall Police Authority and Devon and Cornwall Police Joint Partnership Strategy
Following consultation with Members it was agreed that the Authority and the Force should have a joint Partnership strategy. The draft partnership strategy has been considered by the Community Engagement Committee and was supported in principle. It is intended that the strategy should be supported by complementary documentation, for both the Authority and the Police Service, which provides more detailed information, guidance and checklists. - Police Authority Constitution – Allowances Scheme
The attached draft Members allowances scheme is the output from the Task and Finish Group and is the scheme they are recommending the Authority agrees and adopts with effect from 1 April 2010. - Police Dog Welfare Scheme Annual Report 2009-10
This report summarises the output from the Devon and Cornwall Police Authority Police Dog Welfare Scheme for the period 1 April 2009 to 31 March 2010. - Committee Minute Pack
This pack provides minutes of the Committee meetings that have taken place since the last meeting of the Authority on 12th February 2010. Report to Follow.
