A meeting of the Devon and Cornwall Police Authority will be held on Friday 7 December 2007 at 10.00am in the Daw Room, County Hall, Topsham Road, Exeter to which you are requested to attend, to consider the items as detailed on the Agenda given below.
Any papers listed as “to follow”, urgent items or supplementary papers will be made available as soon as possible and in any event at least 30 minutes before the start of the meeting.

- Provisional Grant Settlement 2008/09
The Treasurer will provide an oral update on the provisional grant settlement for 2008/09. - Annual Audit Letter
This is the annual letter of the Audit Commission summarising the conclusions and significant issues arising from the recent audit of the Authority. The Annual Audit Letter will be considered by the Corporate Governance Committee at its meeting 4 December. - Police Authority Strategic Plan
Recommends that the Authority approve the Strategic Plan and that the members involved with the Force in the drafting of the 3-year Strategic Plan (Policing Plan) be asked to determine and recommend how the elements of the Authority’s Plan should be incorporated within the Policing Plan. - Police Authority – The Way Forward
Provides an update on the work undertaken towards the development of the Authority’s 5-year vision. - South West Authorities and Forces Collaboration Programme
Provides an update on the work undertaken towards collaborative working between police forces and authorities. - ISO 14001 Environmental Management Standard
The aim of the Devon and Cornwall Police Authority Environmental Strategy is to positively promote the constabulary’s adoption of environmental best practice following the guiding principles set out in the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System. The draft strategy is attached for Members’ consideration and approval. - Road Traffic Collisions
Provides an analysis of road traffic collision in Devon and Cornwall for information. - Association of Police Authority Meetings
Provides a summary of meetings held by the Association of Police Authorities to which Devon & Cornwall Police Authority Members are invited. - Police Authority Liaison Meetings
Provides a summary of Police Authority Liaison Meetings held since the last meeting of the Authority. - Green Paper on Policing
The Chief Executive will provide an oral report which incorporates comments received from mebers regarding topics for inclusion in the Green paper
