A meeting of the Community Engagement Committee to which you are requested to attend will be held on Friday 30th January 2009 at 2 p.m. in the Conference Room, Devon and Cornwall Police Authority, Endeavour House, Woodwater Park, Exeter, to consider the items as detailed on the Agenda given below.

This verbal report is to inform Members of the launch of the new Neighbourhood Policing website, which is accessible to the public through the main Constabulary website. - Policing Pledge
This verbal report provides Members with an update on the Policing Pledge - “You Matter…We Care” Booklet
This verbal report is to inform the Members of a new booklet that will be given to all victims of crime that contains advice on how to prevent crime and information on how to contact the Police. In addition this booklet has a checklist on the back cover for officers to sit with victims and ensure that these have been addressed. - Public Survey Headline Results
This report provides Members with an overview of the results of the public survey conducted in November 2008. A full report will be available to Members in due course. - Joint Consultation and Engagement Strategy
The HMIC report presented at the previous meeting that looked into Neighbourhood Poling and developing Citizen Focus in Devon and Cornwall Constabulary recommended a joint community Engagement strategy to be developed. There will be a verbal report on options for consideration. - Strategic Partnership Information
The 3 BCUs and Departments within the Force area have been asked to provide details of their commitment and involvement in various key Partnerships. This report, to follow, will include information on the commitment in both cash and 'in kind' terms, signposting to any electronic plans, objectives and Action Plans and a risk assessment of any foreseen 'barriers' to progress.
