A meeting of the Planning and Consultation Committee to which you are requested to attend will be held on Thursday 6 September 2007 at 10.00am in the Conference Room, Devon and Cornwall Police Authority, Endeavour House, Woodwater Park, Exeter, to consider the items as detailed on the Agenda given below.

Opening Items

  1. Apologies for Absence
    To receive apologies for absence from Members unable to attend the meeting.
  2. Declarations of Interests
    To receive any declarations from Members / Officers of personal and / or prejudicial interests in respect of matters for consideration at this meeting, together with the appropriate statement on the nature of any such declared interests.
  3. Minutes
    To confirm the minutes of the meeting held on 7 June 2007 as a correct record.
  4. Corporate Planning Progress 2007/08
         To update Members on the production of Local Policing Summaries and current information regarding forthcoming changes to the planning process.
  5. Terms of Reference of the Planning and Consultation Committee
         Work is being undertaken to produce a Constitution for adoption by the Police Authority. As part of this process, Members are asked to review the Terms of Reference and name of this Committee and indicate its preference for selecting a committee chairman.
  6. Police Authority Consultation update
    This regular update provides Members with details of the ongoing consultation activity undertaken by the Police Authority. It will include findings from the Spring Public Survey, Exeter Respect Festival and Youth Consultation event at Exeter College.

  7. Police Authority Liaison Meetings update
     To inform Members of issues arising from the recent round of Police Authority Liaison Meetings, report to follow.
